Equilateral Knitting - Triangle Hat

Instructor: Lucy Neatby       Class Capacity: 25
Class Level: Experienced beginners upwards

Description ~ Equilateral Knitting - Triangle Hat

Learn to knit equal sided triangles and how to modify the size of the triangles. We will take a close look at knitting-up stitches and right and left-slanting decreases and the various methods of making them. From this base we’ll add further triangular units into a preplanned strip for a hat. Folding and assembly of the strip, with a revision of the necessary finishing techniques (Mattress stitch and setting stitches to rows). We’ll look at designing with triangular units and thinking in three dimensions, variations of patterns, stripes and textures. Creating hexagons and planning patchwork style projects. Triangles are ideal portable knitting!
